When you reach out to catch hold of it,

When your fingers are inches away from it,

When it hangs midair for a second,

When it taunts you, just above your reach,

When it sits on silent haunches,

When it watches you wait and suffer,

When your impatience is getting the better of you

You don’t realise it,

And when it finally hovers in your palm,

You realise it ,

But it's too late,

The seconds have passed,

And your palm closes over nothing.

ree

When you are looking out of your window,

When you are trudging in the rain,

When it teases you,

When it hovers above your palm,

You realise it,

But it's too late,

The seconds have passed,

And your palm closes over nothing.
